Keeping a wild apex predator in a concrete tank who was stolen from the wild is not and I repeat NOT the same as keeping a pet. Pets are only fit for captivity. You couldn’t leave a kitten in the wild and tell them to ‘get on with it’… not to mention the insult to cetacean intelligence that this is.

Lolita’s only separate tank is the one viewed in the pictures in that post. In other words, it’s either the 12ft deep back tank or the 20ft deep show tank. She can’t even make herself full length without bending at the fluke.
and lets not forget orca whales range between 21-37 ft long depending on if male or female…. the tank isn’t 21 feet in length so mathematically your an idiot….
This is the only thing you’re correct about. Lolita herself is 21ft long and I must have had that in mind when I made the post. Her tank is 35ft, that was just a typo. Regardless, there’s absolutely no reason to call me an idiot.

No. This is incorrect. They may train for years, true, but they do not love animals BECAUSE they’re willing to turn a blind eye to animal cruelty. There is nothing loving about keeping a large, innocent, intelligent and sentient being locked away for their entire life span. It’s cruelty at it’s worst.
Whales and dolphins are all cetaceans, all are closely related in spite of their differences, and all are related to a common large-brained ancestor about 30 million years ago. “She is completely alone other than the dolphins she shares with who do not speak her dialect.” …. do research damn it lol
If you really think I’ve not done my research on cetaceans then you are very much mistaken. I began studying them well over a decade ago. If you had done your research, you’d know that whilst they’re closely related, they all have very unique vocalisations. When you consider the fact that foreign orcas can’t even communicate with each other, saying they’d be able to understand a dolphin is like saying a human can understand a lizard.
Orca whales communicate by allowing sound waves to bounce off objects within the ocean. In a concrete tank, this is impossible because the sounds bounce right back and do nothing but probably cause the whales headaches.
Because of this, all of the cetaceans are believed to speak the same language, and there are tons of anecdotal evidence to support such a belief.

The mere fact that I have seen as many as five different species of cetaceans feeding together at one time is a good example. There is nothing random about Cetaceans feeding together. They work together as though of one mind, vocalizing constantly
I don’t see how this can be possible. I have witnessed resident orcas feeding alongside porpoises but it has nothing to do with them communicating, it’s just a case of them travelling within the same area. Please show me these 5 cetaceans you’ve seen feeding together.

He was forced to strand himself on a beach in Argentina. He now resides as a performer at Mundo Marino.
He’s fed on a diet of dead fish despite his natural diet consisting of small mammals. He hasn’t seen his own species in over a decade. He’s aggressive and defiant. He hasn’t bonded with his trainers. As a pubescent male, he’s sexually frustrated on a consistent basis.
The middle photo shows his performing tank. The top and bottom photo show where he resides for the majority of the day.
This must be stopped.

Statistically, the average wild orca swims 100 miles per day. Given that her tank is 35ft long, this would indicate that she’d have to swim a staggering 150,85 circles per day just to reach her wild counter part’s mileage.
