My Animal Passion

If you follow me, by this point you will be aware that I am ridiculously obsessed with animals. All animals. From the snails we probably walk past every day without even noticing, to the elusive blue whales living out in the depth of our oceans. Here are some FAQs for you.

What sort of animal things can I expect if I follow you?
Well, for starters, I have my own cats children called Michael Jackson (yes, that really is his name), Lady Yuna, Kristen Stewart and Nana Osaki so I talk A LOT about them and their adventures. Here, have a picture of them!

I also used to volunteer at Paradise Wildlife Park, a beautiful animal facility near my home town so I do often speak about my adventures and interactions with the animals at the park. Pictured below is the love of my life Houdini, a bactrian camel who has sadly left the park now.

But, above anything else, my first love are cetaceans, ESPECIALLY orca whales. Orcas have been a HUGE part of my life since I was 8 years old when I first adopted Havannah with the WDCS. I run an entirely separate orca blog which you’re all more than welcome to follow here, all about the northern resident orcas of British Columbia.

Pictured below is my adopted orca of 12 years, Havannah. Rest in peace beautiful, I miss you.

Since you used to work at a zoo, what’s the facility like and why do you support it?
